Dear Nick, today is #GivingTuseday and I wanted to tell you how much joy you have given to me and mom. If we could have genetically engineered a son with all the love, fortitude, caring and most important, character, no scientist could have delivered better.
At this point I can hear you saying, “stop, this is really corny,” but guess, what, Dad’s can be corny and one day I pray you will be doing the same and laugh a little when you have a corny moment and think back to this letter.
I won’t be here forever but know I will always give all my love and support to you no matter where you are, no matter what challenges you face as you prepare to graduate.
My grandmother always told me you can be and do anything you want if you put your mind to it and me and mom have dedicated our lives to raising you, giving our heart and soul to you. No matter what you think, you have delivered rewards that hopefully as you grow older you will understand.
So, on this Giving Tuesday, I thought I’d put into words, our love for you, because there is no greater gift.
